We stay selective so we can stay soft

We do not take every wedding that asks.

Not because we are precious little art monsters. Because we are two people who still want to care this hard about thirty-ish days a year, and caring this hard does not survive a calendar stuffed with maybes.

We would rather end up mates than merely booked.

That sounds soft until you have lived a wedding day with people you already trust. Shaun with the camera, quietly vanishing so you can actually be in the room. TJ in the inbox for months beforehand, already knowing the jokes and the soft spots. By the time the day arrives we want it to feel like we belong there.

I try not to get too gushy about the word “clients”… but honestly we drop it pretty quickly with the ones who fit. The good ones just become people we like.

Saying no is how we stay soft.

If the first coffee feels off — if the jokes do not land, if you really want a big ego and a big crew — we will gently point you toward people who love that work. Fit is a kindness, not a rejection.

We are boutique on purpose. Video only. Shaun films. TJ does not shoot or edit. Roughly thirty a year. That number is not a flex. It is the fence that keeps the work human.

If you watch our films and think “yeah but any nice couple would do,” you might just be shopping for a vendor. That is allowed.

If you watch and think “I want those two specifically, even if it means waiting”… then you already understand the selective bit.

Come say hi. Coffee, virtual margarita, whatever works. If we click, we will know.

Big love, Shaun and TJ
