Lemon Tree Film House is now officially ‘Lemon Tree Films’!
Still Shaun and TJ, same chaotic creative energy, same passion for storytelling… just a much cleaner, truer name that finally feels like home.
It’s worth reading ‘The story behind the name’ to find out the meaning behind ‘Lemon Tree’ at all but we always actually intended to be ‘Lemon Tree Films’. From day one. It was the name that felt right.
But when we first tried to grab everything back in the early days, a little company over in New Zealand had already snapped up the Facebook page for Lemon Tree Films. So we did what any resourceful bunch would do — we became Lemon Tree Film House and got on with the business of making films.
And you know what? It worked. We hustled hard, made some bangers, and tagged the absolute heck out of everything. And annoyingly a bunch of those hard earned links and follows actually ended up going to the Kiwi page because people (and Google) just assumed it was us. Meanwhile they were… not really doing much with it.
Fast forward a few years and that original page went quiet. The company closed down. The name sat there gathering digital dust while we kept growing.
So when the chance finally came up to buy lemontreefilms.com, we jumped at it. For years people had been calling us Lemon Tree Films anyway — in emails, conversations, even some write-ups. The universe was basically screaming at us to make it official.
This isn’t just a domain swap. It’s us stepping into the identity we always wanted. Cleaner. Sharper. More “us.” A fresh coat of paint on the same beloved treehouse.
